Project description
Church PA
In the fall of 2024, the Cath. Church Mariae Heimsuchung in Feldkirchen (Moosburg an der Isar) in the northern district of Freising (Upper Bavaria) was equipped with a new sound system from PHOENIX Professional Audio .
The three-aisled hall Church Mariae Heimsuchung, dating back to the 14th century, is a listed historic monument. The sound reinforcement system was therefore modernized in accordance with the preservation order.
For this purpose, the slim K4-100F directional column speakers were powder-coated in a special color RAL 1015. This makes the speakers barely noticeable and blends harmoniously into the historic interior.
The K4-100F column speakers, whose frequency-independent directional sound radiation is limited to the audience area, ensure excellent speech and perfect music reproduction in the church. They are specially designed for sound transmission in acoustically difficult spaces with long reverberation times, such as churches.
The K5-60F IP outdoor loudspeakers and the K1-30 sound column for the tower’s exterior sound system were also specially powder-coated and blend in with the church building’s color scheme.

The DSP-controlled POWERVOICE PV-DSP-4ACD.9.4.2X digital automatic mixing amplifier drives, among other things, the sound columns in the nave. Featuring two Class-D digital amplifiers, phantom power, HPF filter (100 Hz), MIC-LINE, digital automatic system, audio matrix, conference configuration/priority, dynamic function, de-esser, and MP3 player with BT receiver, the church amplifier ensures precise room equalization.
The MEG and MEX gooseneck microphones on the ambo and altar also blend harmoniously into the church’s interior design thanks to their delicate appearance.
A wireless microphone system from the “MIPRO” brand was also installed in the church.
After professional acoustic measurement and level adjustment of the new sound system by the Phoenix team, the room acoustics were optimized, and a significant reduction in reverberation was achieved in the church.
