Project description
Church sound
In April 2024, the existing sound system of Hl. Bruder Konrad Chapel in Kolbermoor (Rosenheim district, Bavaria) was upgraded by PHOENIX Professional Audio.
The new sound reinforcement system in the church includes, among other things, the POWERVOICE PV-DSP-1D.5.2X-2U analog automatic mixing amplifier from Phoenix Professional Audio’s own brand, featuring a Class-D power amplifier, as well as passive K4-60F directional column speakers for the nave and gallery, and a K4-30N directional column speaker with neodymium drivers for the area next to the pulpit.
The Phoenix K4 directional column speakers are specially designed for sound transmission in acoustically challenging spaces with long reverberation times and challenging acoustics. They are therefore a perfect fit for Hl. Bruder Konrad Chapel, and their frequency-independent directional sound dispersion ensures consistent volume and excellent speech intelligibility throughout the entire sound reinforcement area.
The chapel also used the slim matte silver MEG-1-600 gooseneck microphone.
In June, the new sound system was expanded to include a new wireless system. It included an analog UHF true diversity 2-channel receiver, UHF handheld and bodypack transmitters from the ACT-500 series from MIPRO, and accessories.
