Project description
Church sound reinforcement
In autumn 2020, the Catholic Church of St Nikolaus in Garching a.d. Alz (Bavaria) was equipped by PHOENIX Professional Audio with a new private-label sound system Phoenix Professional Audio:
The heart of the new sound system in the church is the digital automatic mixing amplifier PV-DSP- 4ACD.9.4.2X with 2 x Class-D power amplifier, DeEsser (dynamic dampening of “SSS” and sibilance), Compressor-Expander and much more. Additionally, directional sound columns of the K4 series have been used, which were specially developed for sound transmission in acoustically challenging rooms such as churches and contribute in particular to reverberation reduction.
MEG and MEX gooseneck microphones were installed on Ambo, priest’s seat and altar.
A new radio system from the “MIPRO” brand ensures complete flexibility and freedom of movement during the services.
